Sofía Vergara Embraces Reptilian Inspiration With Sheer Details in Laura Basci Corset Top for ‘America’s Got Talent’ Season 19 Red Carpet

Sofía Vergara joined her fellow “America’s Got Talent” judges for the Season 19 red carpet on Tuesday. The “Modern Family” star posed for photos at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Los Angeles prior to the start of the new season’s auditions.
The Schwarzkopf global brand ambassador fashioned a unique look for the event, embracing reptilian inspiration. The actress wore a custom Laura Basci black corset top with reptile-embossed scales and sheer paneling. The top was the centerpiece of Vergara’s look.

The actress opted for wide-leg black trousers and simple gold jewelry by XIV Karats with earrings by Melinda Maria and bold sunglasses. Her makeup was done by Sabrina Bedrani with hair styled by Aaron Light. Vergara’s look was styled by Rhonda Spies, whose notable clients include Finn Wolfhard, Kaitlin Olson and “Dancing With the Stars” judge Carrie Ann Inaba.
Vergara isn’t the only star to embrace reptilian inspiration. Earlier this month at the Green Carpet Fashion Awards, Zendaya fashioned an ensemble inspired by reptilian features, including a sleeveless Roberto Cavalli gown featuring gray silk chiffon fabric with a crocodile print. She also accessorized with pieces of Bulgari jewelry, including the Serpenti Seduttori Bracelet.
Vergara has previously found inspiration from other animal prints. At a taping for the “America’s Got Talent” live show in August 2023, Vergara fashioned a zebra print jumpsuit with a crystallized belt. The actress coordinated her look with co-judge Heidi Klum, who also wore a zebra print ensemble to the live show.
Along with returning to “America’s Got Talent,” Vergara’s been working on other business ventures and creative pursuits. In June 2023, the Emmy-nominated star launched her own skin care, makeup and supplement line, Toty.
“[Mitigating] sun damage is really what I want to do with the line. The line is supposed to protect and also restore. We did a lot of photo damage in our younger years,” Vergara said. “The ideal product, which I am already working on, will be able to not only protect from future damage, but also try to reverse existing damage.”
The 19th season of “America’s Got Talent” returns to NBC May 28.
