Social Light: Serpentine Summer Party 2018
The Serpentine Summer Party unites the starry worlds of fashion, design and the arts every June to mark the opening of the Serpentine Pavilion which, this year, was designed by Mexican Frida Escobedo. The youngest architect to score the commission, and the second woman to be chosen since Zaha Hadid, Escobedo's creation combines Mexican and British heritage and materials. As the evening was held in partnership with Chanel, Suki Waterhouse, Laura Bailey, Alexa Chung and co wore Karl Lagerfeld creations, and were joined by Yana Peel, Frida Escobedo, Kaya Scodelario and Princess Eugenie, all of whom soaked in the surrounds (and the champagne), and topped off their evening with a performance by Nile Rodgers.
