New Snow at Palisades Tahoe

In the past 72 hours, Palisades Tahoe has seen 4 new inches of snow, 3 of which came down Friday, and then another inch over the last 24 hours.

Currently, there are 9 runs open out of the normal 270, and 7 lifts are open out of the regular 36.

Officials at Palisades broadcast pictures of the new snow to guests, with the caption, "We had a small dusting of snow last night. 2-3 inches depending on the elevation. It’s nothing compared to the amounts our snowmakers have been making, but we’ll take what we can get!"

Could not agree more.

Among the scheduled lifts are the Base to Base Gondola, the Funitel (yes!), Red Dog, the Resort Chair, and First Venture. The Upper Mountain has Gold Coast Express.

The open trails include Champs Elysees, Lake View, Pioneer, Start Me Up, Gold Coast, Gold Coast Face, and SnoVentures Start Park, which has been open for a while now.

On average, the snowfall jumps way up in December (by over 50%)! For example, the monthly average for snowfall in November is 30 inches, compared to 77 inches in December.

More snow is predicted to fall on Wednesday, December 6th.

What's the claim, is there going to be a powder ski? You bringing out the 120s? Are we surfing and slashing?
