SNL Unearths the Horror of Customer Service Using Us

Maybe you don't want wanna call your underworld twin to help with identify theft?

Jordan Peele's Us is a tricky movie to unspool, and it leaves viewers with a lot of scenes that are hard to shake. But it also, if you think about it, bears an uncanny resemblance to those ubiquitous Discover commercials where customers call customer service reps who are creepily similar to them.

So SNL's Ego Nwodim and Kenan Thompson, made up to look like Us's Lupita Nyong'o and Winston Duke, try to figure out who's been racking up credit card charges for red jumpsuits and rabbits and, well, you see where this is going. Their Tethered impersonations are disturbingly spot-on, with Nwodim even going so far as to copy the staggering vocal fry of Nyong'o's Red. And all Thompson needs is a split second to nail Duke's Abraham.
