We've reached the midway point for season 2 of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds! The upcoming episode, "Charades," is written by Kathryn Lyn & Henry Alonso Myers and is directed by Jordan Canning. It's a fun one and one of my favorite episodes of this season.

In "Charades," a shuttle accident leads to Spock’s (Ethan Peck) Vulcan DNA being removed by aliens, making him fully human and completely unprepared to face T’Pring’s (Gia Sandhu) parents during an important ceremonial dinner.

As Spock deals with his new state of being and experiencing what it is to be completely human, Nurse Chapel (Jess Bush) and Dr. M'Benga (Babs Olusanmokun) try to find a "cure" for Spock's current ailment.

Along with his human mother, Amanda (Mia Kirshner), Spock faces a unique challenge in trying to impress his future mother-in-law, T'Pril (Ellora Patniak), with an intricate Vulcan ceremony. T'Pril already has her reservations about the impending nuptials and has yet to be impressed by him.

In this Parade.com exclusive sneak peek, Spock finds himself in sick bay after a shuttle accident that has left him healed but altered, much to his dismay.

New episodes of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds drop weekly on Thursday on Paramount+.
