Smucker's Unveils Pizza Uncrustables To Save Us All
Peanut butter and jelly Uncrustables were quite literally a main food group for me when I was a kid. The filling-to-bread ratio was on par and the ease of them was unbeatable, so it's no shock that I'm incredibly jealous of Gen Z and all of the Uncrustables flavors they've grown up with. The latest is a selection of pepperoni bites and roll-ups that are heartier than PB&J and will be just as easy for packing lunch.
This isn't the first time Uncrustables have ventured into the world of more savory options. Uncrustables Taco Bites hit the scene around April 2020 and are meant to be enjoyed warm. Same goes for these pepperoni additions, which can be heated in the microwave before enjoying.
The Uncured Pepperoni Bites are made with marinara sauce, natural pepperoni, mozzarella cheese, and are put together into little delicious morsels. Each pouch comes with two bites inside which need only a minute in the microwave to get to a good temperature. Think of these as a new version of your go-to Pizza Rolls, but with the familiar fluffy bread you know from Uncrustables. The Roll-Ups are similar, with flatbread stuffed with natural pepperoni, provolone, and Neufchâtel cheeses with seasoning. You can microwave these before eating but they're good to go after simply thawing out.
It's no question that these Uncrustables will be a new addition to your grocery list. And now that we're talking about them....are Uncrustables sandwiches or are they dumplings? Maybe raviolis? Perhaps that's a subject to tackle on a different day.
