Buckle up for Smokey and the Bandit's return to the big screen!

Fathom Events and Turner Classic Movies are celebrating the 45th anniversary of the iconic movie by bringing it back to select theaters.

The film, which stars Burt Reynolds, Jackie Gleason, Sally Field, and Jerry Reed, will be shown in more than 650 locations across the country on May 29, June 1, and June 2. Viewers will also be treated to exclusive behind-the-scenes insights and background information about the making of the movie.

"Gear up for huge laughs, pedal-to-the-metal action, and some of the wildest car crashes ever filmed!" Fathom Events teased.

Smokey and the Bandit features the late Reynolds in the iconic role of Bo "Bandit" Darville, a retired trucker paid to bootleg 400 cases of Coors beer across the country from Texarkana, Texas, to Atlanta. The movie was the second highest-grossing domestic film of 1977 and spurred numerous spin-offs.
