Will Smith has recently been going through a physical transformation, throwing himself into an array of workouts and a new diet in order to lose weight and build muscle. But he's also going through something of a style evolution. In a new photo shared by Elizabeth Woods, a Smith family friend, Smith can be seen with a head of naturally gray hair.

It looks like he has been growing out his usually short cut while on vacation in the Bahamas; his beard looks a little longer than usual too, and also has a little bit of salt-and-pepper color to it. The actor's new look was well-received, to say the least, with some fans in the comments even drawing comparisons between Smith and former President of the United States (and low-key style icon) Barack Obama, who pulled off a similar transition and is currently rocking gray hair.

Of course, there are plenty of examples of other famous men who are able to pull off gray, white, or salt-and-pepper hair and look distinguished. Celebrities like George Clooney, Matt LeBlanc, Eric Dane, Timothy Olyphant and Anderson Cooper have all seamlessly let their naturally gray hair show, and made the silver fox look work for them.

Going gray yourself, and thinking of skipping the dye? There are a few things you should know in order to make those silver locks look their best. First, shorter tends to be better; the longer gray hair gets, the more chance it has of looking wiry, while a short, neat cut will keep it looking tidy and smooth. This could be the perfect time to experiment with a slightly different hairstyle, until you find a look that complements your natural hair color. It may also be worth investing in shampoo specifically for gray hair to maximize your shine.
