Smith Family continues planting Apple Blossom Trees along Apple Creek Trail

APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – The city of Appleton is receiving over 50 Apple Blossom Trees on behalf of the charity Apple Blossoms for Appleton.

Babs, Michael, and Matthew Smith run the charity, which began with the goal of making the city as beautiful as possible.

Together, the trio has been planting trees for over a decade. The Smith family says that as of today, they now have one mile of trees planted across the Apple Creek Trail and plan to move to other areas once the trail is completed.

The Smith family estimates it may be another five years before they finish planting along Apple Creek Trail.
