You Can Smell Pantone’s 2024 Color of the Year
EAU DE PEACH FUZZ: What does Pantone’s 2024 Color of the Year – Peach Fuzz – smell like? According to DSM-Firmenich, it’s a velvety, gentle peach, created with notes of bergamot, osmanthus, orris, orange blossom, Haitian vetiver and amber.
The Swiss-Dutch supplier said Friday that it has once again developed a scent inspired by the annual Pantone color pick.

Pantone’s 2024 Color of the Year, officially known as Pantone 13-1023, is meant to soothe.
“A partnership that blends science with the art of color, fragrance and flavor, the fragrance, Peach Fuzz Eau de Parfum, is an all-embracing solar peach that provides an invitation to feel good by conveying pure and positive feelings,” DSM-Firmenich said in a statement.
“This is done through unique, innovative ingredients, such as Peach Fuzz Smell-The-Taste, developed exclusively by DSM-Firmenich through a technique drawn by the expertise of flavorists for perfumers, which gives emotion and texture to their fragrance creations,” the company said.
The fragrance formulation also includes EmotiON – something DSM-Firmenich chief consumer and innovation officer, perfumery and beauty Matteo Magnani called “a breakthrough program that creates wellness fragrances, which deliver scientifically validated emotional, psychological and physical benefits.”
The scent was created by perfumers Alexandra Monet and Steve Guo, who are based in New York and China, respectively.
“We loved the idea of creating a fragrance that authentically captures the texture and quality a peach has, which can resonate universally,” Monet said in the statement.
“We wanted to express a sense of skin and feel-good notions of intimacy, as well as safety and comfort,” Guo added. “We were inspired to create a touchable peach fragrance with a skin sensation,”
Peach Fuzz EDP scores a AAA rating, while its associated candle boasts an AA on DSM-Firmenich’s EcoScent Compass, its proprietary tool measuring a fragrance’s sustainability footprint.
