Smarty Pants Parrot Answers Questions His Owner Asks Him and It's So Impressive

Most people think it's pretty cool to hear a parrot talk, but what about a parrot who can answer questions? Apollo is an African Grey parrot with a big vocabulary. His human Frens works with him a lot, and Apollo can not only chat with him, but answer inquiries as well.

In this video that @ApolloandFrens shared, Frens tells Apollo he's going to ask him three questions. He goes to pick up a bowl, and Apollo says without even being asked, "It's a bowl?" Frens picks up another object and asks what it is. You've got to see this for yourself!

He ends up asking Apollo a lot more than three questions, and he gets all of them except for one right! What a smart bird, and he's so fun to watch!

You might find it interesting how much he spoke like Frens. He actually just mimics what he's been taught. But the fact that he knows all the right answers is so impressive. My parents have had a Yellow-naped Amazon who's been a part of our family for more than 45 years. He cries like a baby, meows like our (now long deceased) cat, and even rang like the phone. He calls for me and my four siblings by name and has a huge vocabulary. He's like having another kid!

Both African Greys and Amazon parrots make great family pets. Both love to interact with people. Both love to talk can learn to mimic family members' voices, and even pets! Greys tend to me more affectionate, while Amazons are more like the class clown. Amazons also tend to be a lot noisier than Greys, so you might want to keep that in mind if you're looking to bring one home.
