Smartfood’s New Flamin’ Hot White Cheddar Popcorn Gives Us the Best of Both Worlds
Just earlier this year, Frito-Lay’s Smartfood introduced Hot Buffalo-flavored popcorn. The heat has been stepped up another notch with the brand’s Flamin’ Hot White Cheddar flavor.
Flamin’ Hot snacks gained momentum when people pledged their undying love for the blazing Cheetos. Now it’s diving into the popcorn world, and it’s paired with white cheddar for a taste worth trying.
“I’m not sure I could think of a better mash-up of the two snacks I was most likely to be eating in a middle school cafeteria than this right here,” Instagram account @junkbanter wrote in a caption.
The Flamin’ Hot-White Cheddar combo sounds like a match made in heaven, since the latter tones down the heat a bit. So if you’re not big on hot snacks, that doesn’t seem like a concern here.
“It was nice to eat the White Cheddar alongside the Flamin’ Hot to counteract that heat!” another food Instagram account @mnmtwinz wrote.
Smartfood announced the new flavor on Instagram, calling it “your hot summer fling.” It sounds like it’ll only be around for a limited time, so stock up before it disappears.
