At 6:56 a.m.: The moon enters Pisces, and the moon void of course ends

After sun-up, the moon enters Pisces, ending its void of course which began last night. We are currently in the run-up to today’s full moon. The Pisces moon is sweet and sensitive, and also highly intuitive, which can be a gift or a curse. Everyone is a bit on edge and over-stimulated now. With the amplification of lunar energies, we are not only keyed into our own emotional state; we might be picking up on the feelings of others. In fact, it can be difficult to discern where we begin and where others end!  This can create conflicts and provoke emotional breakdowns which would be easily avoided at a less fraught time. To sidestep needless drama, be sure to schedule time for solitude and self-care today! Somatic therapy techniques can be restorative. Activities like a nature walk or getting a massage can help to get you back into your body. Give yourself permission to release. Have a good cry!

At 6:36 p.m.: The moon is opposite the sun

In the evening, the Pisces full moon (a blue moon) invites us to reflect on events that have transpired since the Leo new moon on August 16! At that time, embracing confidence inspired us to pursue our personal creative vision. Today, that vision might be coming into manifestation! This is a dreamy time, as we attempt to balance logic and intuition, rationality and fantasy. Although our idealism is checked by the Virgo sun’s affinity for setting practical expectations, this lunation has big concretization potential!  This is in part due to the moon’s alignment with Saturn. Typically, this influence would dampen our spirits, but here it helps us remain pragmatic about an objective. We have made great progress. We’ve believed in ourselves and our potential. We haven’t given up! All these factors demonstrate that while imagination is a critical component of success, so is having the stamina and the resilience to persevere when projections fall short.  This is not “the end” of our venture. In many ways, it’s only the beginning, because we’re creating something built to last! It’s okay to get emotional now. We are human, we are not robots. Victory is more complicated than we often make it out to be. So today, celebrate your accomplishments while noting where you want to improve. This full moon offers space for both!
