The New Skittles Shriekers Will Amp Up the Sour Component This Halloween
Mars Wrigley’s Skittles loves getting in on the Halloween fun, as we’ve seen in the past with its Zombie and Cauldron varieties. Although we have 6 months until it’s time to break out our witch hats, we’re already getting excited for the latest spooky innovation, Skittles Shriekers!.
A photo of the new Halloween candy was recently posted on Meijer’s website, however, the product details are still for the Zombie variety. Luckily, the picture of the Skittles Shriekers! gives us inside about what to expect from the creepy candy, and it certainly sounds like it won’t disappoint.
“…some are so sour they will make you shriek!” the packaging says. The flavors include Spine-Tingling Tangerine, Ghoulish Green Apple, Rattled Raspberry, Citrus Scream, and Shocking Lime. From our understanding, some will be very sour, but we don’t know which ones they will be. Talk about a trick or treat!
Even though the Skittles Shriekers! were just posted on Meijer’s website, we don’t expect these to be out until at least the end of summer. It is a Halloween candy, after all. We’re looking forward to checking out the “Beware! Try if you dare”-graced orange packaging this fall.
