Skittles Just Unveiled a New Pack That Only Consists of the Lime Flavor
Mars Wrigley heard your cries after they replaced Skittles’ lime-flavored candies with the green apple flavor in 2013. Clearly, not all green candies were created equal. Not only has the brand heard your pleas, but they’re acting on correcting it with the new Skittles All Lime pack!
The new All Lime pack ditches the classic five fruity flavors for just one. The limited-edition packs are only filled with the lime-flavored candies and will be available for summer 2021 at select retailers nationwide, a PR rep confirmed to Best Products. This is the first time that Skittles has featured a pack that only has one flavor.
If we were able to cause this change in the sweets world, what else can we do? As noted in Skittles’ Facebook announcement, “BUY THEM OUT AND MARKETING MIGHT BRING THEM BACK FOREVER.” Hey, we’re happy to do our part!
“Our SKITTLES fans asked, and we are thrilled to deliver. Lime-loving SKITTLES fans have been very vocal with their pleas to bring back their favorite flavor and we’re excited to be able to offer them all the lime SKITTLES they want with the release of our All Lime packs,” Fernando Rodrigues, senior brand manager, SKITTLES, said in a press release.
In 2017, Skittles brought back the lime candy for a limited time as part of the Long Lost Lime pack, which swapped out green apple and put in lime. However, that didn’t last long, and now we have a real chance to enjoy it!
