Skip the Chocolates and Send Red Lobster Biscuits This Valentine’s Day

Fans of Beyonce know that uh… when two people love each other very much, sometimes one of them will take the other to Red Lobster. In the Friends universe, a “Lobster” is a way of referring to a person’s soulmate. When you put those two cultural references together, you can make a surprisingly strong case that Red Lobster is one of the more acceptable casual dining establishments (symbolically, at least) to visit on or around Valentine’s Day.

Now, you don’t even have to actually sit down at a Red Lobster to woo your love with a cheesy romantic gesture. That’s thanks to their limited-edition release of a heart-shaped box full of warm Cheddar Bay Biscuits that read’s “You’re my lobster.” Adorable!

Starting Monday, February 10th, you can go online to RedLobster.com and place an order for half a dozen Cheddar Bay Biscuits, available for either in-store pickup or to be delivered right to your Cheddar Bae’s door. The box will cost you a dollar more (while supplies last), but you can’t put a price on showing someone special that you love them as much as they love cheesy biscuits from a seafood restaurant.

So if you’re in desperate need of an affordable gift with same-day shipping or just want to break from giving chocolate while still using similar packaging, look to the land of lobster. Just don’t eat too much shrimp, or your date might think you’re a jerk.
