Skiing's Longest-Running Web Series Is Back For A 16th Season

If it wasn't the pre-season, it is now: the LINE Traveling Circus -- skiing's longest-running web series -- is back with another heater of an episode.

I'd say more, but I think this video speaks for itself.

Tune in below.

Skiing has changed a lot since I was first introduced to freestyle back in the 2000s. Outerwear fashion has gone from skinny to baggy at least three times.

12-year-olds can do triple corks. For better or worse, social media is now the primary place people consume skiing content.

Yet, amidst all these cultural shifts, somehow, the Traveling Circus remains the same. Whenever I boot up an episode, I feel like I'm 15 again. I'm back home after a day of high school -- the leaves are turning orange, and my excitement for the coming ski season is reaching a fever pitch.

The longevity of this series can't be overstated. I'm 25 now. I first stumbled across professional skiers Will Wesson and Andy Parry's Traveling Circus antics when I was a tweenager.

Sixteen years later, I remain hooked, and Wesson and Parry are still leading the Traveling Circus helm. It's almost like these guys forgot that time exists -- in the best way possible.

Speaking of legends, Andreas Håtveit deserves an honorable mention for his performance in this episode. Like the Traveling Circus, he's been around since my love affair with skiing started. While he's technically "retired" from professional skiing, he doesn't ski like it -- retired pros can't do two 360 swaps on one rail.

Anyways, I'm stoked. The Traveling Circus continues to capture lighting in a bottle, and for this episode's brief 16-minute run time, I knew that everything in skiing, despite all the hoopla, is exactly as it should be.
