Skier Wins $1k For Blistering Line Through Tight Couloir

"All french fry, no pizza."

GoPro applauds skier Wyatt Smith for "absolutely pinning it" down this gnarly chute in Big Sky, Montana with a #GoProPOV to earn $1,000.

Wyatt doesn't always keep his skis on the snow.

With the Jackass-referencing caption, "If Johnny Knoxville can flip a Dirtbike, I can flip high dive," Wyatt gets comfortable with airtime in a clip posted to Instagram, below.

Smith was raised in Sun Valley, and grew up ski racing and competing on a national level.

With that technical training as his background, he then moved to Bozeman, MT for college at MSU, and fell in love with the pursuits of freeride, big mountain, and backcountry skiing.

Smith spends his time split between pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, working for a local architecture firm, and skiing as much as he possibly can.

In 2020, Smith finished the Freeride World Qualifying tour with 179 points.

The #GoProLineOfTheWinter contest offers $120,000 in cash prizes for ski and snowboard POV clips, as well as the opportunity to be crowned the “GoPro Line of the Winter”.

Have you entered yours? Does Wyatt's POV make you want to enter more or less? Personally, it makes me feel pretty humbled by my own chute lines so far. But inspiration is the best stoke to go give it another shot, right?

You can't be mad at the guy: Wyatt has coached at Mt. Hood in Oregon for the past 5 summers at their summer ski camps for all ages.

Let's hope he's gearing those kids up for chutes, and not making anyone straightline them!
