Skier Flies Through Streets On Jetpack

The future is here: Teslas, solar panels, and... jetpacks?

Most of us envison jetpacks as mini-helicopters that attach to human bodies and allow us to motor around in the sky.

Former Slovenian freestyle skier Filip Flisar, however, imagines jetpacks to operate a little differently.

In a video posted to YouTube from Redbull, "Every son knows that being late for mother’s lunch is never an option. While many would simply make up the most foolish excuse possible, call our mom and beg for forgiveness, Filip Flisar has his own way of problem-solving."

"Being a Ski Cross World Champion has its perks – Filip is not only the proud owner of skiing world’s favourite moustache, he is also the proud owner of a real life jetpack."

Check out Flisar's mustache in this workout video (also from Redbull) below.

Jetpacks have actually been around for almost 100 years, but they are in no way common.

"Facing the idea of being late for lunch, Filip strapped on his jetpack and literally blasted his way through his hometown of Maribor, Slovenia."

Flisar appears to be in control while zooming around with a literal jetpack on. It checks out, since he was a skier cross world champion, a big air national champion, and a Quiksilver Freeride battle winner.

From 2004 to 2007, he was a member of the national alpine team but "eventually felt that the discipline didn't fulfill his expectations."

Now, it looks like that taste for speed is back, big time.
