Ski Racing Legend Daron Rahlves Gets Barreled At Kelly Slater's Surf Ranch

Professional skier Daron Rahlves is a renaissance man. Not only has he mastered the art of skiing, but he's also handy on a surfboard.

In an Instagram post shared yesterday, September 21st, Rahlves documented his experience at Kelly Slater's Surf Ranch.

Rahlves was at The Ranch partly to celebrate his 20th anniversary with his wife, Michelle Shetler Rahlves, and as an invitee to a Destination Red Bull experience led by surfer James O'Brien.

Destination Red Bull experiences are curated trips Red Bull hosts that feature professionals in their respective sports -- think curated trips by travel agencies meets action sports. If you're not a Red Bull athlete like Rahlves, you've got to pay to join. Although, as of now, most of the Destination Red Bull trips are sold out.

Rahlves tagged along on the Destination Red Bull surfing experience to learn the ropes because he's hosting his own Destination Red Bull trip this upcoming winter.

But his appearance at The Ranch wasn't all work and no play. Rahlves caught some barrels, too, proving that skiing isn't the only action sport in which he excels. Some people can do it all, I suppose.
