Ski Area Does Their Best Ron Burgundy Impression

In a humorous homage to movie character Ron Burgundy, Berkshire East Mountain Resort posted a video, Anchorman style, of just how the snowmaking happens for ski areas in Massachusetts.

A woman saunters up to John. "Hey John, look at this weather. The temps are coming in. We've been focusing so much on the lifts, are we ready... is Catamount ready?"

John considers. "Why now? If we're making snow tonight, I'm going to need my snowmaking teams." Then, Ron Burgundy style, John pulls out a piece of pipe to use as a horn to call the snowmakers to action.

Because, as Ron would say, "I'm not sure quite how to put this, but snowmaking is kind of a big deal."

Watch the original assembly scene from Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy below.

The horn call is followed by the classic Anchorman footage of animals stirring all over the forest. In this case, they'd be going into winter hibernation, but no matter.

Officials running the Berkshire East Instagram account announced that "the Berkshire East and Catamount teams are taking full advantage of this dip in temperatures and are kicking off snowmaking tonight."

Excitingly for new and returning visitors, more updates from the resort are to come, with "fresh pics in the morning."

As Ron Burgundy once said, and will soon apply to each and every one of us when the mountain officially opens: "I'm in a glass case of emotion!"

These are tears of joy.
