Skate Your Way Through Florida's Largest Christmas Light Maze

Have you ever wanted to visit Santa’s workshop or step into a real-life Christmas story book? Cue the joyous holiday music and twinkly lights: this Christmas attraction is something to cheer about.

If we were to guess where the largest Christmas light maze would be located, sunny South Florida might have been our last guess. But we fully believe that the Sunshine State deserves some winter wonder as well; after all, it’s the most wonderful time of the year.

To say Enchant's The Great Search event is enchanting is quite the understatement. This larger-than-life immersive Christmas event in St. Petersburg, Florida is equivalent to a stop at the North Pole. The Great Search knows how to spread the holiday cheer through its many attractions, including a Christmas market, ice skating trail, and the world's longest Christmas light maze.

But the must-see attraction is the skating trail along the Christmas light maze. Visitors can rent skates and glide gracefully down the light-adorned path. If you’re an unexperienced skater who grips dearly to the sides, you can take your time and glide under the light-dotted garland arches and enjoy the Christmas trees along the way. If you’re a pro skater, you can whiz through and capture the blur of lights with every turn.

If ice skating is not your forte or you have young ones in the group, The Great Search has many other amazements. Get lost in the world’s largest Christmas light maze, where you will be able to embark on the ultimate holiday adventure—finding Santa’s trusty steeds. The light maze has five mazes that cover more than 90,000 square feet. While the kids are at play, parents can sneak away to the Christmas market and cross off some items on the wish list. This Christmas market features more than 40 local artisans and vendors offering seasonal gifts.

Let’s face it, it wouldn’t be a trip to the ultimate Christmas wonderland without a visit with Old Saint Nick. In Santa’s Landing, you’ll be able to spill all your Christmas wishes to jolly Mr. Claus and guarantee your spot on the nice list. This Christmas-card-worthy spot is a great place to capture a family photo against a holiday backdrop too.

We also recommend you go to this Christmas celebration on an empty stomach. Local chefs serveup quite the seasonal spread. After ice-skating, treat the kids to seasonal ice-cream—and for the adults, signature holiday cocktails. If a chef asks, "May we Enchant that for you?" you’re in for a very special holiday treat.
