Top models Gigi and Bella Hadid, who were the first pair of sisters to walk together in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, have teamed up once again for Moschino‘s spring 2017 ad campaign, which was shot by legendary fashion photographer Steven Meisel.
The inseparable siblings aren’t a surprising choice to front the campaign, considering that they both walked for the Italian luxury fashion house’s paper doll-inspired show in Milan in September. Gigi, who is 21, and 20-year-old Bella are known for their bold, on-trend street style, often wearing ensembles aligning with the ostentatious aesthetic of pieces designed by Jeremy Scott, the creative director of Moschino.
In the campaign images, Gigi and Bella are featured wearing glamorous and flashy clothes and being mobbed by photographers. In this shot, Bella is photographed in a black printed two-piece set with chunky accessories and a black embellished handbag.
In past collections, Scott has plastered the brand logo all over collection pieces, since the designer holds the value of the brand’s name in the highest regard.
“I love the power of brand iconography, but like anything in fashion, you have to use the right ingredients at the right time,” Scott told Vogue in 2015. Logos “convey a message instantly, and as we live in an Insta-world now, it makes even more sense to pack that punch so one hit can be a total knockout!”
The spring 2017 collection sticks to the trend, with Gigi pictured in a leather and sheer dress and dramatic, leather knee-high boots — both featuring the logo.
Gigi also shows off her model figure in a racier shot, wearing just a bra and underwear with a leather jacket and accessories featuring metal embellishments.
No stranger to expensive couture, Bella looks stunning in a satin, ruched pink dress and diamond jewelry in another image from the campaign.
The two highly sought-after models will likely star in many top designers’ spring 2017 campaigns. Bella has already revealed that she is one of the new faces of Fendi’s spring 2017 campaign, which was shot by the brand’s creative director, Karl Lagerfeld.
Images from the campaign have not been released, but Gigi will reportedly star in the designer’s ads as well. The two also starred in Balmain’s sibling-inspired fall/winter 2015 campaign, which also featured siblings Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Joan and Erika Smalls, and Armando and Fernando Cabral.
