Singer Kehlani Announces She’s Pregnant With a Baby Girl
Calling all Kehlani fans! The 23-year-old singer-songwriter has a huge announcement, and she’s screaming it from the rooftops (or, you know, Instagram): She’s expecting her first child, a baby girl!
Taking to social media, the tattooed songstress shared snaps of herself cradling her growing baby bump and looking absolutely radiant. “If you know me, you know I’ve dreamt about motherhood since I was very young. When asked what my goals are, it’s always the idea of a big healthy, happy family and whatever comes along is a plus,” she wrote.
Admitting that her happy news was “the HARDEST to hide,” she gushed, “I am so honored to be given this gift by spirit, creator, and an amazing partner whom I trust with my body and life.”
The “Ring” singer also confirmed that she’s four months along and went on to add a special note for her daughter, writing, “Dearest little girl, I am so proud to be your mommy. I am so proud to have received you. I cannot wait to meet you, i know you will be 50,000 times more special than I can even imagine at this moment.”
Now that the news is out, she plans to share even more details with fans. “I’m looking forward to sharing my little world with you all,” she added. “My partnership with my very best friend and lover, our journey of conception, my choice for a natural home birth with my AMAZING midwives at @parteramidwifery and eventually… the little pumpkin!”
Kehlani, who came out as queer in April, didn’t name the father of her baby in the post, but she tweeted later that her partner is her “best friend and quite frankly the only man on earth I trust.” She also praised him on Nicki Minaj’s Queen radio show, saying, “I was lucky enough to find a man who was a bisexual male and we just really understand each other.”
