Simone Biles Share New Details About Her 2023 Wedding Plans

Wedding bells are ringing for Simone Biles. The most decorated female gymnast of all time is preparing to marry her fiancé Jonathan Owens, and she dropped some hints about their impending nuptials.
Simone took to Instagram to share a photo of her sharing an adorable smooch during a tropical vacay with her husband-to-be. Rocking an all-white dress, Simone dropped subtle deets about their upcoming wedding in her caption. "One step closer to becoming Mrs. Owens," she wrote, before adding checkmarks next to venue and date bullet points. Could the beach backdrop be a hint at a destination wedding?
Jonathan followed suit, posting a three-picture carousel of cute moments of their vacation as well. "One step closer to forever with you," he wrote.
This isn't the first time Simone gave a glimpse into her wedding plans. She previously dished to E! News about her plans to tie the knot and explained how wedding planning was coming along. "Our moms are both helping us, which is super exciting," the 25-year-old revealed. "The biggest thing is trying to lock down a date and solidifying the guest list," she said. Simone added, "We have some of my teammates that I'd be inviting. But other than that, it's really close family, friends, and people that have watched us grow throughout our relationship and will share that love on that day." So, I guess, TBD on whether or not major celebs will be in attendance.
Simone didn't confirm an exact wedding date, but she did say that they would be headed down the aisle "sometime next year" during Jonathan's off-season from the NFL.
She previously confirmed that she said yes to the dress on Instagram, and opened up about wedding dress shopping.
"I had my best friend and my mom there and then once we found the dress, we did FaceTime Jonathan's mom so that she could see it," she explained. "But it was just a very, close tight-knit group. I didn't show all my friends because we still wanted it to be special for everybody. It was something I didn't think I would go with, which was so crazy because I came in with a list of my likes, what I want it to look like and then I kind of did the complete opposite of that," the excited bride-to-be added. "But it was a fun experience. I really enjoyed it."
Simone and Jonathan announced their engagement in February. The Houston Texan defensive back popped the question under a gazebo in Houston with the help of their families and friends.
Wedding planning isn't the only thing keeping the Olympic gold medalist busy these days. She recently released an activewear collection with Athleta for young girls.
