Simone Biles Celebrates One-Year Anniversary With Boyfriend Jonathan Owens

One year after making their relationship IG-official, Simone Biles is celebrating another important milestone with boyfriend Jonathan Owens: their very first anniversary.

The Olympic gold medalist took to Instagram on Saturday, August 28, to share a sweet photo series of the pair. In the pics, they are twinning in coordinating outfits of orange tops (Jonathan sported a t-shirt while Simone opted for a ribbed tank) and ripped denim. They even matched their footwear, with both athletes donning bright white sneakers.

“Oops I forgot to tell y’all that we’ve been dating for more than a year,” Simone quipped in the caption. “So happy past 1 year to the best thing that’s ever happened to you: ME.”

The NFL star expressed his own sentiments about their anniversary in a comment on Simone’s post. “Time flies when your having fun,” Jonathan wrote, with a series of emojis. “To many more with you baby.”

Jonathan and Simone were first linked last summer, when the gymnast first shared pictures of their romance to IG, giving fans a little peek at their relationship. Since then, they’ve continued to share their romance with their followers, with Simone posting plenty of cute couple photos showing their everyday lifestyle, which includes impromptu sunset photos and, as she put it, “bring your girlfriend to work day.”

The football player is just as supportive of Simone’s career. Last month, when the gymnast stepped down from several Olympic events to prioritize her health, Jonathan shared a moving post to vocalize his support and adoration for his girlfriend. “Imma ride with you through whatever baby,” he wrote at the time alongside a series of photos of Simone. “Your strength and courage is unmatched and you inspire me more and more everyday SB 🤞🏽You always gone be my champ baby and don’t you ever forget that, I love you so much and I can’t wait till you come home and I get to see that beautiful smile again. You know I’m always here for you baby.”
