Simone Ashley and Zayn Malik to Star in a New Animated Film Together

Hello, our worlds are colliding. On October 28, Variety announced that Zayn Malik, former One Direction member, and Simone Ashley, star of Netflix’s Bridgerton, will star alongside each other in a new animated comedy film, 10 Lives.

The specifics of their roles haven’t been revealed just yet, but we do know that British comedian Mo Gilligan, Sophie Okonedo, and Derry Girl’s Dylan Llewellyn round out the main voice cast.

The film’s official synopsis is as follows: “10 Lives is the story of a pampered and selfish cat who takes for granted the lives he has been dealt. After carelessly losing his ninth life he begs to be given a second chance, an opportunity to show he can learn from his mistakes. Eventually his wish is granted, but with certain, hilarious stipulations,” Variety reports.

10 Lives marks Zayn’s first feature film role, making him the second One Direction bandmate to head to Hollywood — ICYMI (but, seriously, how could you??) Harry Styles has built up an impressive acting resume, from psychological thrillers to Marvel action-adventures to romantic dramas.

Of course, we know and love Simone from her role as Lady Kate Bridgerton (née Sharma) in the hit Netflix series, and as Olivia Hanan in Sex Education.

Although the release date and exact production schedule for 10 Lives is still unknown, IMDb reports that the animated movie is currently filming. Don’t worry, we’ll be on the lookout for any and all details. 👀
