SilverStar Bike Park Celebrating 30-Year Anniversary

Silverstar Mountain Resort is a popular ski area and bike park in British Columbia.

This summer, Silverstar is celebrating its 30th anniversary of operating its bike park. See their announcement below.

In this video, Silverstar shared footage of them on the come-up from running a double with '90s bikes all the way to the enormous bike park there today, complete with 400 jumps and 875 berms.

Hopefully, the intern they sent out to count each one got paid! According to Trailforks, Silverstar Bike Park will open on June 24, 2024.

In 1994 gravity riding was hardly a thing, so it is cool that a ski resort jumped on the trail so early. Sun Peaks opened their bike park years before Whistler.

Silverstar is one of the crown jewels of bike parks in British Columbia. In a province with Big White, Whistler, Sun Peaks, and many more, riders can’t go wrong.

In addition to downhill riding, Silverstar also boasts Beowulf, a 35 km cross-country epic trail. Silverstar is located an hour north of Kelowna.
