Silly human! These cereal-inspired treats are for dogs — and you can find them at Target

Bark dog treats from The Snack Box
Bark's latest launch includes treats and toys inspired by your favorite childhood cereals. (Target)

Growing up, you may have had a favorite cereal. (My personal favorite? Frosted Flakes, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, or maybe even Reese's Puffs — it's hard to choose just one.) Maybe you still start every morning with a bowl of crispy deliciousness. You're never too old to indulge, right? Pet brand Bark believes dogs can share in our sugary joy — well, kind of. On March 1, it launched a line of cereal-inspired treats dubbed The Snack Pack, now available at Target.

Quick Overview

Bark, which is also behind the subscription-based BarkBox, is known for its adorable, often humorous toys. (My pup especially loves Eduardo, the shrimp taco.) But the brand also sells doggy dental-care items, food and treats. Its latest tasty morsels will have humans smiling and dogs tails' wagging. Cleverly packaged, The Snack Pack treats include a variety of meat and allergy-friendly options in crunchy and soft-baked textures. All are free of artificial preservatives, corn and soy. Choose from Frosted Socks, Fruity Toot Loops, Go Nuttys, Lucky Duckies, Clucky Nuggy Yums, Beefy Meat Hunks and Porky Meat Hunks.

These treats feature real fruit and grains, with a mixed berry flavor dogs will love.

Like your favorite childhood cereals, the treats have an accompanying mascot — and yes, they come with a surprise in every box. Simply scan the QR code inside for a chance to win fun prizes like a free year-long BarkBox subscription, free toys, treats and more.

My toy poodle got to sample the new treats at Bark's offices during a press event, and as picky as he is, he loved almost all of them. His favorites were the Go Nuttys and Beefy Meat Hunks, both soft-baked treats. While he ate the crispier ones too, he preferred them to be cut in half, just like a stubborn toddler. I loved how the Clucky Nuggy Yums look like actual chicken nuggets. They're also soft and a bit smaller, so he liked them as well.

Take a closer look at these soft-baked dog treats — they look like real chicken nuggets! Plus, they're small enough for toy-sized breeds and are easy to break in half for training sessions.

If you want to spoil your dog with any of The Snack Pack treats and toys, you can shop them on Target's website, in Target stores or on Bark's website. Trust me, your dog will enjoy these, and you'll giggle at the cuteness.

Can't choose just one? Grab this variety pack that features Frosted Socks, Fruity Toot Loops, Go Nuttys and Lucky Duckies.

Bark released coinciding mascot toys for each treat as well. You can pick up Jim Sock (from Frosted Socks), Hunk Stickman (from Meat Hunks) or Lucky McDuck (from Lucky Duckies) and more at Target. My pup adores Jim Sock. It looks like an actual tube sock, makes a crinkle noise and squeaks — what's not to love?

Jim Sock crinkles and squeaks, and you can even hide treats in the top for your dog to discover.
