Marks & Spencer has been a high street favourite for literally hundreds of years. Loved by every generation, you'd be hard-pressed to find another shop that successfully caters for both 18 and 80-year-olds as well as M&S does.

My mum likes to browse the Autograph edit for those more premium luxury pieces and my grandma won't be parted with her M&S Collection basics, but in recent years I've found myself more limited. While my underwear drawer could be considered a mini branch of an M&S lingerie department, bursting with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's pretty feminine designs, you'd struggle to find anything with an M&S label hanging in my wardrobe save for a classic button-down cotton shirt and a cashmere knit cardigan.

Enter Marks & Spencer's new autumn collection that successfully fills the gap of trend-led staples thanks to the new face of its campaign, Sienna Miller.

Yep, you read that right. The British actress has collaborated with the high street giant and she's brought her signature boho aesthetic to the collection that is packed full of chunky knitwear, tailored outerwear and statement accessories – all in a neutral colour palette of blacks, browns and creams accented with vibrant colour pops of lime green and cobalt blue.

Speaking of the partnership, Sienna said, 'I have always had a genuine love for Marks & Spencer. It's a brand that is part of the fabric of British life and holds special associations for so many people.'

'I am thrilled to be joining this iconic company, fronting their Autumn campaign and being a part of their journey in shaping the future of fashion,' she continued.

And that future of fashion looks to cater to women wanting stylish and versatile pieces. While the tweed blazer (Sienna's favourite item in the collection) can be styled with a white shirt, tailored trousers and loafers for the office, it will work just as well dressed down with denim and sandals come the weekend.

From the school run to the red carpet – or more realistically in our case, the morning commute to drinks after work, high/low dressing is at the centre of M&S' autumn collection. Top of our wishlist may just be the chunky-soled dad trainers that could double as designer, without the eye-watering price tag.

Because that's the best part, with prices starting from £29.50 it's the M&S quality we've come to expect at a price tag most people can actually afford. Even the pink checked coat is less than £100 (just, it's £99 to be specific) which is a steal, IMO.
