Sienna Miller Is Channeling Jennifer Aniston's Iconic "Rachel" Haircut

Sienna Miller channeled Jennifer Aniston's iconic "Rachel" haircut, created by stylist Chris McMillan, at a recent event in New York.

Every once in a while, there's a haircut or color so iconic that it's instantly recognizable, even years after the style originated. Such is the case with "The Rachel," a style created for Jennifer Aniston for her Friends character, Rachel Green, by stylist Chris McMillan. The style, for those who don't remember, skimmed the shoulders and included piecey, face-framing layers. Now, according to Vogue, Miller was seen at an event in New York City for UNICEF wearing an updated version of the classic style, and she looks wonderful.

Though Miller's color is different than Aniston's (blonde versus and light chestnut) and her hair is slightly longer than the iconic look, the resemblance is unmistakable, as the face-framing layers and piecey ends fall similarly to how Aniston's hair did while she was growing out the classic "Rachel" look. It's a great cut for summer, as it doesn't need to be worn stick straight or styled with too much heat to look good, so perhaps an updated version of this look will be coming back around.

Over the years, Aniston and Chris McMillan, the original creator of The Rachel, have stayed extremely close, as evidenced by his Instagram account, though interestingly enough, Aniston wasn't as big of a fan of the haircut as the rest of us were. In 2011, she told Allure that the cut was not her best look, and even went so far as to say, "I think it was the ugliest haircut I've ever seen." However, it was an iconic look nonetheless, and now it may be experiencing a revival, albeit in longer lengths and slightly wavier textures.
