Sia and Dolly Parton Are the Duo You Didn't Know You Needed
There's a lot of exciting things happening in country music these days, and the very best is more in line with the old school than the more pop-inflected stuff of recent years. But the reigning master of the old school is still Dolly Parton, the backwoods Barbie herself.
A big factor in Parton's longevity has been her versatility, and so it's no surprise (just a delight, really) to learn that her just-released duet with Australian pop star Sia is so damn good. "Here I Am" is from the soundtrack for the upcoming Netflix movie, Dumplin', starring Jennifer Aniston. (And it's not the only Parton/Netflix collaboration in the works: the streaming service has ordered an anthology series based on Parton's songs.)
For some reason summer is the only season that consistently gets its own song each year, which is pretty unfair. Parton and Sia though are here to seamlessly transition us into fall.
