SI Swimsuit Introduces Latest Rookie Ellie Thumann
The social media influencer and mental health advocate joins the squad this spring.
On Monday, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit revealed its newest 2023 rookie.
YouTube star Ellie Thumann, 21, is best known for vlogging about travel, beauty, lifestyle and fashion, but has actually been modeling for quite a while now.
Entering the industry as a young girl alongside her mother, the Phoenix-native has worked with brands such as Marc Jacobs, Levi’s, Kate Spade, Reebok and Coach over the years.

As an influencer with a massive reach of over a million Instagram followers and two million (and counting) YouTube subscribers, Thumann aims to create content that will positively affect her audience, emphasizing the importance of mental health and emotional wellness.
Taking to social media with the exciting news of joining the SI Swim family, Thumann and the brand posted a joint video on March 6, including a few snippets of the tropical location photoshoot.

"beyond honored, I love you guys ❤️❤️," the newest rookie commented under the post.
Fellow SI Swimsuit models Katie Austin and Christen Harper popped in to send well wishes to the newcomer, writing, "YAYYA ELLIE WELCOME TO THE FAM!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️" and "YESSS ELLIE 🤍🤍🤍" respectively.

For her debut with the famed publication, the tropical photos were taken by photographer Derek Kettela during a shoot in Puerto Rico.
