Western Glove Works, parent company to Silver Jeans and Jag Jeans, has brought on Suzanne Silverstein as CEO. Silverstein will serve as CEO to both Silver Jeans and Jag Jeans, taking over from former CEO and founder Michael Silver, effective July 10.

Authentic Brands Group

Brand management firm Authentic Brands Group announced the appointment of Kevin Wills as chief financial officer. He will partner with Authentic’s executive leadership team to drive sustainable value through financial strategy and performance. He will report to founder, chairman and CEO Jamie Salter. Wills has previously served as CFO for Tapestry and global consulting firm AlixPartners.

Knot Standard

Custom clothier Knot Standard has expanded its operations with a partnered business division intended to bring together its portfolio of wholesale clients, SaaS technology offerings and existing brand and retail clients. The new division will be led by Alicynne Sher, now head of global partnered business, to be focused solely on the growth of this new business, creating a marketplace for brands and retailers with no inventory. Andrea Zacharias has joined as vice president of consumer sales to oversee Knot Standard D2C business.

Hanesbrands

Hanesbrands has announced that interim chief financial officer Scott Lewis has been appointed CFO, effective immediately.

He will also continue to serve as chief accounting officer, a role he’s held since 2015. A 17-year veteran of the company with a background in accounting, tax, controllership and external reporting, Lewis brings more than 25 years of financial experience to the role.

Retail

The Children’s Place

Children’s specialty apparel retailer The Children’s Place has appointed Alicia Enciso, the former chief marketing officer of Nestle USA, to its board of directors and a member of the corporate responsibility, sustainability and governance committee. She will hold office until the annual meeting of the stockholders in 2024.

The company also announced that Tracey Griffin will be leaving the board of directors, effective immediately. She had served on the board since 2020 and will be relocating to the Middle East to become the chief financial officer of the Chalhoub Group, a luxury retailer in Dubai.

Academy Sports + Outdoors

Sporting goods and outdoor recreation retailer Academy Sports + Outdoors has promoted Carl Ford to executive vice president (EVP) and CFO, effective immediately. He succeeds Michael Mullican, who recently transitioned to president. Ford will oversee finance, accounting, tax, treasury, loss prevention, internal audit and investor relations. He had served as Academy’s senior vice president, finance, since January 2019.

Designer Brands Inc.

Designer Brands Inc. has named Laura Denk as president of DSW and EVP of Designer Brands, effective July 24. Denk will be responsible for leading nearly 500 store locations and the company’s e-commerce channel as well as day-to-day leadership. She will report directly to Designer Brands’ CEO, Doug Howe.

Denk brings with her an extensive background in merchandising. She previously served as chief merchandising officer and EVP of Michaels Stores, having also held leadership positions at Claire’s and Macy’s.

Technology

Tulip

Tulip, a provider of cloud-based retail mobile solutions, has named Ian Rawlins as its new president and chief operating officer. Over the last nine months, he has served as Tulip’s interim chief strategy officer. Rawlins offers extensive experience at high-growth companies within the retail technology sector, including Aptos, where he held several roles throughout his 10-year tenure.

Textiles

TMC Ltd.

TMC Ltd., owner of Nuyarn and Herculan spinning technologies, announced that Timo Pape has joined as director of business development, Europe. He will continue to serve as a Nuyarn brand ambassador with Expedition Cooperative, as well. In this role, Pape will be responsible for supporting the continued growth of Nuyarn and Herculan by advancing partnerships. He brings over 20 years of experience in the performance and outdoor footwear and apparel industries to the role.
