Shuffle Board: H&M CEO Joins The Fashion Pact, True Religion Names EVP, Nike Shuffles the Deck

Nike reshuffled its executive leadership.

Effective June 1, Heidi O’Neill, currently Nike’s president, consumer and marketplace, will become president, consumer, product and brand. Craig Williams, currently president of the Jordan brand, will become president of geographies and marketplace for Nike. Andrew Campion will become Nike’s managing director, strategic business ventures, and cease serving as chief operating officer. Matthew Friend, currently EVP and chief financial officer, will also be responsible for procurement, global places, and demand and supply management. Michael Spillane, president, consumer creation, will retire this year after 16 years with the company.

True Religion has appointed Jim Kushner as executive vice president, North America wholesale sales, effective immediately. He brings over 20 years of sales expertise and has worked in senior leadership roles for brands including Calvin Klein, Guess, Perry Ellis and Original Penguin. He will report to CEO Michael Buckley.

True Religion aims to double its North American wholesale business in the next three years under Kushner.

Abercrombie & Fitch

During an earnings call, Abercrombie & Fitch announced that executive vice president and chief financial officer Scott Lipesky has taken on the additional responsibility of serving as chief operating officer. Lipesky has been the CFO of Abercrombie since 2017. He joined the company from American Signature Inc., a privately held home furnishings company, where he was CFO.

DU/ER

Canadian performance apparel brand Du/er announced the appointment of Burt Damsky as vice president of global sales. Based out of the brand’s New York City showroom, Dansky will oversee the strategic growth of Du/er’s global wholesale network.

He joins from NYC Alliance, where, as president of sales, he was responsible for relaunching Juicy Couture and leading the company’s branded division. He held previous roles with Blanc Noir, Bench Clothing, Antik Denim and Southpole.

Duluth Trading Company

Duluth Trading Company announced the election of Ronald Robinson to its board of directors, effective immediately. Robinson has more than 30 years of operational leadership in retail experience and currently serves as the chief supply chain officer of Designer Brands, Inc. He has previously served as the chief sourcing officer of J. Crew Group and held various positions at Ascena Retail Group.

Lids

Sports retailer Lids appointed Bob Durda as president. He previously was buying director and senior vice president of merchandising and sold Sport Fan-Attic, a company he co-founded, to Lids in 2009. As president, he will work on elevating the brand internationally and bringing best-in-class products to market.

Helena Helmersson

Helena Helmersson, CEO of H&M Group, has been appointed co-chair of The Fashion Pact’s steering committee. With a background in sustainability and production, Helmersson is succeeding the industry initiative’s co-founder, Kering’s chairman and CEO François-Henri Pinault who remains on the steering committee after completing his three-year mandate. Helmersson will be working closely with The Fashion Pact’s co-founder, corporate leader and global advocate for sustainable business, Paul Polman, who has been re-elected as co-chair of the steering committee for another three years.
