Zalando announced Pascal Brun as its new vice president of sustainability and diversity and inclusion (D&I), reporting to Padmaja Bommareddy, senior vice president of corporate development. Brun joins from H&M, where his responsibilities over the past 16 years focused on sustainability and supply chain management.
Brun will be responsible for driving Zalando’s commitments to sustainability and D&I, and integrating them into the company’s strategic goals.

Express
Express CEO and board member Tim Baxter has resigned, unrelated to the company’s accounting or financial reporting, Express said. Stewart Glendinning has been named his successor, effective Sept. 15. Baxter will be available as needed to support the transition.
Glendinning brings to Express more than 20 years of experience in the consumer products industry, having most recently served as group president of prepared foods at Tyson Foods. Previously, he was chief financial officer of Tyson Foods, responsible for worldwide financial planning, finance and accounting functions.

American specialty retailer Rue21 named Scott Saeger as its new chief information officer, effective Sept. 11. Saeger will provide leadership to develop a secure information technology environment throughout the business. He will also be responsible for high-quality strategic planning and execution for Rue21’s business applications and operations, integration of e-commerce and back-office platforms, B2B and B2C initiatives and retail maintenance.
Saeger brings deep experience and technology strategy expertise to Rue21, further enhancing the brand’s customer journey and optimizing its platforms to support growth and enhanced interactions with Rue21’s community.

Tommy Hilfiger named Virginia Ritchie as global chief marketing officer. She will report to Martijn Hagman, CEO of Tommy Hilfiger Global and PVH EMEA, overseeing all aspects of the global marketing organization.
Ritchie, a 13-year veteran of PVH, most recently led global consumer engagement for Tommy Hilfiger across all marketing and commercial touchpoints.
Mansur Gavriel
Mansur Gavriel, the 10-year-old New York-based accessories label, has named Maria Borromeo as its new CEO. Previously, Borromeo held leadership roles as co-founder and CEO of Thakoon, president and CEO of Hudson Jeans, and vice president of the Americas at Alexander McQueen. Borromeo will focus on both brand and bottom line, strengthening the foundation of the business, and fueling sustainable growth.
Borromeo is the second CEO to be appointed since co-founders Rachel Mansur and Floriana Gavriel sold a majority stake of the company to New York-based private equity firm, GF Capital Management & Advisors, in 2019.

RMG mapping platform Mapped in Bangladesh (MiB) announced the appointment of its advisory board. The board represents various industry groups, including philanthropic funders, civil society organizations, academia, think tanks, worker’s rights groups, industry associations and policy and government organizations. It will help to shape MiB’s strategic direction as it looks to scale up its presence in Europe and increase its user base.

Seko Logistics named Maxime Bessiere to the role of chief commercial officer, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and David Emerson will step down from the role, effective Dec. 31. Bessiere will be responsible for driving sales growth, vertical market development, account management, solution design, implementation, corporate marketing communications, strategic tender pricing, sustainability and commercial operations in the EMEA region, including the UK and Ireland, according to the logistics firm.
Nexgen Packaging
Trim, label and packaging producer Nexgen Packaging named Kevin DeSpain as senior vice president of sales for the Americas. He will be responsible for leading and expanding Nexgen’s sales operations and data integration teams in the Americas, as well as leading sales and customer service teams in Asia. He joins the company from Zebra Technologies, where he was vice president of sales for the manufacturing, transportation and logistics team and led Zebra’s RFID and managed professional services teams. DeSpain will report to Nexgen CEO Jim Welch.

Keeco, a designer, manufacturer and distributor of home and bedding products, named Hope Margala as its new CEO. She joins Keeco with over 35 years of experience in the consumer goods and retail industries, including leadership roles at Yankee Candle, L Brands and The Longaberger Company. Margala most recently served as president and CEO of NBG Home.
