Shower Caddies to Keep All Your Soaps, Scrubs & Shampoos Organized

Click here to read the full article.

If you share a shower — with a partner, with kids…heck, with anyone — the number of shampoos, body washes, soaps, scrubs and bath toys floating around can quickly overwhelm what’s generally a small space. To the organizational rescue: shower caddies, which can keep every product your family needs to get squeaky clean easy to find, and can provide some much-needed extra storage in a shared space.

Smaller caddies can often be enough if just one or two people share a tub, but if everyone’s sharing the shower, tension rods with up to four shelves can really be a lifesaver. (Those come with the added bonus of keeping the products your kids use at their level, while your precious — and possibly pricey — scrubs, color-preserving shampoos and masks can stay far out of reach of little hands.) Here are five shower caddies that will help keep everything in its place.

1. simplehuman Tension Shower Caddy

If you didn’t think a shower caddy was something you could get excited about, think again. Simplehuman has a way of taking basic household goods and making them glamorous. Here, a high-quality tension rod-style caddy holds three rust-proof, adjustable shelves. Added features like hooks for washcloths and loofahs and even a place to hang toothbrushes make it really stand apart from the competition. There’s even a little indent for bars of soap. Plus: it’s compact enough to go into small showers as well as full-sized tubs.

2. ALLZONE Tension Rod Corner Shower Caddy

Not quite as sleek and shiny as the simplehuman model, this shower caddy still offers plenty of features while being a lot more affordable. For starters, you actually get four adjustable shelves instead of three! (They’re plastic, however, not brushed metal.) Each shelf also comes with a plastic bar that can be placed on the top of the shelf to act as a guardrail or on the bottom to be a towel rack or spot for hooks. Three adjustable hooks can also be placed to hang loofahs or washcloths, and when two are put together, to hang razors.

3. iDesign York Metal Wire Hanging Shower Caddy

If you only need a caddy for one to two people — or you’re more minimalist when it comes to your self-care products — this hanging shower caddy is a great option. It can hold 3-4 tall bottles as well as soap and other smaller accessories. Six hooks can be used to hang towels as well as razors. Seven different finishes also allow you to coordinate it with your bathroom.

4. Haundry Mesh Shower Caddy Tote

A rite of passage for many college students, a shower caddy tote lets you carry all the essentials (and then some) from your dorm room to the shower. The mesh body makes it waterproof if you want to bring it in the shower with you, and protects it from the occasional splash. But even if you’re not in college, it can be a useful way to keep bathroom items organized, and can even come in handy for trips to the beach or gym. With a generous main pocket and plenty of side pockets, no lotion or loofah will get left behind. There’s even a hook for room keys.

5. The Really Big Tub Cubby Bath Toy Organizer & Caddy

Forget grown-ups with hair masks and body washes and scrubs — kids are the ones who have the most stuff (if you count tub toys). This caddy not only organizes their favorite bath toys but keeps soap and shampoo close at hand, too. The mesh net drains, keeping toys from gathering water and growing mold. Two large bottom pockets can hold rubber duckies, foam wall stickies and assorted squirty toys, while the six top pockets give parents plenty of space for organizing soaps and shampoos.
