If your pumpkins are carved, your spiderwebs spun, your Homemade Candy Corn resting, your ghouls entertained, and your last-minute costume details finalized—all you still need to celebrate the spookiest day of the year is a free doughnut from Krispy Kreme.

As one of our favorite Southern doughnut chains, Krispy Kreme is exemplary at toasting each and every holiday with some festive cheer, from Mother’s Day minis to pillowy pastries taken directly from the North Pole to free doughnuts on National Doughnut Day. This month, Krispy Kreme partnered with beloved canine Scooby Doo and his mystery-solving gang for a Halloween dozen with Scoob-tastic flair (available through October 31, 2023).

And the treats keep coming. Per tradition, Krispy Kreme is handing out doughnut freebies on Halloween to any customer wearing a costume at participating shops, no purchase required. Show up as Velma and pick up your very own Jinkies! doughnut, for instance, to really round out your look. Any costume will get you any one free doughnut—no tricks or age limit. It’s the best way to fuel an evening of energetic trick-or-treating!
