Elizabeth Tufted Upholstered Storage Bed

Cosmopolitan makes beds! You learn something new every day. This cushy-looking upholstered storage bed frame from the magazine brand's collection of home products, CosmoLiving, features all-over tufting that comes in gray (pictured) or black.

It offers four drawers of storage that reviewers say are generously sized to hold plenty of things (perhaps your favorite issues of Cosmo?). The drawers aren't attached to the bed, though; instead, they're on wheels and slide in and out underneath. If you have existing underbed storage, this could be a good option to help you enhance the setup you're already working with.

"I absolutely LOVE this bed!" one reviewer raves. "My husband and I both have back problems, and this bed has helped a lot. Been sleeping on this bed for two years and don’t have a single complaint."

Just be warned that assembly can take a few hours. Reviewers say that putting together the drawers is the most tedious part, but attention to detail will pay off with a sturdy piece of furniture.

Platform Bed with 4 Storage Drawers

For the price, it doesn't get much better than this four-drawer bed from Yaheetech (and tons of Amazon reviewers agree). The modern-looking frame comes with four large wire-framed drawers that slide out on wheels, each lined with polyester so your small items won't get loose.

With its plush, striped design, this bed looks like something you'd find in a luxury department store."The frame and legs are metal, not wood, so it’s really sturdy," reads one review. "It was easy to put together (it took about an hour and a half doing it alone). The drawers are huge! I’m really impressed with this bed, especially when considering the price. I’ve paid a lot more for beds that weren’t half as well made. Definitely recommend it!"

The only downside? There's no headboard. The upside? The reasonably priced Lucid Mid-Rise Upholstered Headboard has thousands of positive reviews and comes in six colors, four sizes, and four styles. Boom — done.

Brandon Storage Platform Bed

With two cubbies underneath the head area, four total drawers that glide out from the sides, and a bookshelf-like storage space at the foot, this bed is doing the absolute most. Is it on the pricier side? Yes. Will it house your winter sweaters, collection of decades-old band t-shirts, and multiple volumes of the Harry Potter series? Also yes.

The Brandon Storage Bed, created for Macy's, comes in both queen (pictured) and California King sizes, though, confusingly, not regular king. (You'll just have to upgrade and thank us later.) We like it for its capacious drawers that hide away linens as well as its shelves meant to showcase things you actually like seeing on the daily.

Reviews skew towards five stars, with buyers calling it "absolutely beautiful" and "excellent quality."

Wooden Platform Bed with LED Bookcase Headboard

If your favorite part of going to a fancy hotel is finding the little charging station right next to your pillows, this bed is about to blow your mind.

In addition to the four gliding drawers that slide out from under the sides of the frame, this bed comes with a bookshelf-esque headboard with two standard plugs and two USB ports built right in. Your phone, tablet, Kindle, and headphones can all charge within arm's reach while you sleep!

The only downside, if you can call it that, is that the drawers are constructed of metal wires, so you'll need to invest in some underbed storage bins if you want to put small things in there.

As for storage, the entire bottom pulls out to reveal space for a trundle bed or storage bins. You can grab two of Avocado's kids' mattresses, or stock up on bins and baskets. As a mom of two, I'd use that space to put all those toys I don't love looking at on a daily basis. I'm not naming names, but I'm talking about Hot Wheels.

Parkville Upholstered Storage Platform Bed

No matter what size you pick, this storage bed frame is very affordable — and Wayfair is always having sales. It's upholstered in gray or blue heathered fabric and comes with a matching headboard that's studded with nailheads.

Because the storage drawers pull out from the bottom, this is a perfect option for those with beds up against a wall or those who simply don't have the space to pull drawers out from the sides of a bed. It requires assembly, but the two extra drawers of storage it provides at the foot of the bed are worth it.

Chesterfield Tufted Upholstered Storage Platform Bed

This sophisticated storage bed elevates the entire room with its Chesterfield-inspired headboard and pristine tailoring. Each frame is upholstered to order, so you can choose the color and fabric that's a perfect fit for your own space — there are over 100 different options available!

You also get to choose which storage style you want: drawers on the side or at the footboard. It may take up to 10 weeks for the frame to arrive, but white-glove assembly is included with your purchase.

Now, this is Pottery Barn, so the prices start at $2,895 and go up from there. A California king with a footboard could run you up to $4,345, depending on your fabric choice.

As with all our luxury (i.e., expensive) options, this bed is built with quality in mind. We're talking sustainably sourced, kiln-dried hardwood, fortified bolts, and brackets — this thing is strong like an ox.

You also have four fabric options. If you live in a colder climate, we recommend the velvet choices. Warmer climate? Go for linen. Either way, you're getting an excellent product that's built to last.

Gatlin Storage Platform Bed

Speaking from experience, here's something you might not realize when you purchase a bed with drawers that jut out from the sides: You can't have a bedside table. Well, you can, but you'll need to move it out of the way every time you want something from that drawer by your head.

The Gatlin bed from Macy's solves this problem by putting the slide-out drawers slightly further down than head-level. Et voilà! You have enough room for drawers and an unobtrusive bedside table.
