Swiss brand On rocked the online running world last month after announcing its last season markdown styles, including the red-hot Cloud 5 that’s been popping up in gyms everywhere. While many sizes have been elusive, some selling out in a matter of hours, one of the most popular On running shoes is still available for under $100—but that may not be the case for long.

The On Cloudswift has been marked down to just $90—a 40% discount on the original price of $150. Though On doesn’t host ratings or reviews on its site, this sought-after running shoe has received high marks at Nordstrom and Dick’s Sporting Goods and is one of the most thoroughly reviewed On styles at Zappos. Sizes in many colors have already sold out at On, but the Magnet/Citron colorway still has much to choose from as of the publication of this story.

The On Cloudswift is a mesh-top road running shoe that weighs less than a pound and has a low 6 mm drop that’s best suited for midfoot and forefoot strikers. With special attention given to the forefoot and the heel, it uses an updated design of the brand’s CloudTec cushioning in a “superfoam” material to give runners a smoother and more shock-absorbent experience. It also features a rocker bottom that better promotes a natural forward motion with each step. While touted as an ideal shoe for pavement, it’s just as good for treadmills, light trail running, or daily walking.

To learn more about how shoppers have used their On Cloudswifts, we turned to the reviews at Zappos and found that many enjoy them as comfortable gym shoes and are very happy with how stylish they are. “These On Clouds look great, fit just right, feel comfortable when walking or working out,” one shopper described. “Got a compliment the first time I wore them out.”

Another shopper had reservations about the On hype after continuously seeing so many at their gym, but they were pleasantly surprised after trying them. “These shoes are the latest fashion craze at my gym,” they explained. “I was hesitant jumping on the bandwagon but these shoes look great and feel great when walking and running. Good amount of support and cushioned spring when taking steps. At the same time, I can thankfully still feel the ground when I walk (unlike the Hokas).”

A similarly hyped brand, Hoka was mentioned several times in shopper reviews, with some favoring On over the former. “Shoe was beyond comfortable,” a shopper said. “I stand all day and my foot pain is much less with these shoes. Highly recommend for health care professionals. I also have plantar fasciitis and these shoes have decreased my daily pain significantly. Tried Hoka and Altra. These are far superior.”

Given the brand’s popularity, we’re expecting the On Cloudswift to sell out very soon. If you’ve been looking for a lightweight running shoe that can double as a travel and walking shoe, this is the one for you. But make sure to grab your size before it’s too late.
