Winter boots may not get worn for most of the year, but slipping thick socks into your work boots won’t cut it when the weather is brutally cold. Buying winter boots in winter can be tough, as some of the most popular styles get snapped up early on. Right now, you can save over $50 on a top-rated pair of winter boots from Sorel.

Sorel makes everything from mules to sneakers, but the brand is synonymous with winter boots. (Its polar bear logo really tells you all you need to know.) Particularly known for duck boot-style silhouettes that can handle rain or snow with ease, Sorel’s 1964 Pac Nylon Boot features an even-more-rugged nylon and rubber construction, and now you can score it for $54 off. Normally $180, the boot is currently discounted to just $126.

The boot is available in four colors: sage green, dark camel, black with white detailing, and gray. Sizes range from 8 to 14, and most are still available as of this writing. The vulcanized rubber shell and seam-sealed construction block out moisture, meaning you can easily trudge through the snow. The nylon uppers are waterproof as well. The nylon construction and flatter soles make these a lighter-weight option than Sorel’s popular Caribou style.

The boots also feature a thick felt liner for maximum warmth. And if you get too warm, the felt liner can be removed. The boots are also designed to be secure on icy pavement, thanks to the rubber outsole with an angular tread design. The boots are rated for protection in up to -40 degree Fahrenheit weather.

Durability was a key selling point for shoppers buying these boots, with multiple shoppers mentioning these as a replacement for boots that had served them for many years. One shopper wrote, “I bought these because my old Sorel Pac boots finally wore out after 47 years. I've loved the old ones ever since I bought them in 1976, and I love the new ones I just bought.”

Additionally, shoppers found that the boots performed the key task of keeping their feet warm. One shopper wrote that the boots “kept me warm and dry in 20 to 5 degrees,” and another wrote that the boots “hold up well in the deep Michigan snow.”

We may be well into winter, but it’s not too late to pick up a great pair of boots, like the Sorel 1964 Pac Nylon Boot, at a significant discount.
