Holy LEGO set, Batman! Just when we thought that there couldn’t be a new, innovative LEGO build for your favorite Dark Knight superhero, they proved us wrong. An exclusive LEGO Batcave set is available on LEGO’s site and it’s an awesome take on Batman’s iconic lair.
Only available on the LEGO site, the Batcave—Shadow Box ($399.99) includes a whopping 3,981 pieces to create a contained version of Batman’s cave from the 1992 movie, Batman Returns. It starred Michael Keaton, Michelle Pfeiffer, Danny Devito and Christopher Walken, and the set’s seven minifigures include versions of those characters, including two versions of Batman, Max Shreck, The Penguin, Catwoman, Alfred Pennyworth and Bruce Wayne. The set also features a “feature-rich Batmobile,” which truly complements the build for even the most enthusiastic fans.

Batcave — Shadow Box, $399.99 on LEGO.com
Plus, this set isn’t just for show (though it’s impressive in that department too). There’s “dynamic action,” meaning that different parts of the Batcave are movable, with cogs, changing computer screens and more. Once finished, this set measures over 11 inches tall, 20 inches wide and 5.5 inches deep. It’s also advertised as a “gift for adults,” meaning that it’s the perfect set for any lifelong Batman fan and is made for their skill level.
As LEGO’s YouTube video on this shadow box shows, this set is designed to be a great display build, closing up into an aesthetically pleasing box featuring a look-through front in the shape of the Batman symbol. But, of course, it’s able to open to really show off all of the Batcave.

It’s already an impressive set, but the LIGHTAILING LED lighting kit adds a lit-up Bat signal outline and inside accents to make it feel more alive.

DC Batwing: Batman vs The Joker Super Hero LEGO Playset, $37.97 on Amazon
The first is the Batwing LEGO set, which is about $38 and includes two minifigures along with the finished Batwing (which measures up to 8 inches long and 9 inches wide when finished. The figures are, of course, Batman and the Joker from the 1989 movie Batman.
DC Batmobile: Batman vs. The Joker Chase LEGO Building Toy Set, $38.39 on Amazon
The second is the iconic Batmobile LEGO toy set. Similar to the Batmobile in the Batcave Shadow Box set (because they're both from Keaton's Batman movies, directed by Tim Burton). But this one is much more affordable at $38.39. It also comes with Batman and the Joker minifigures and measures 11 inches long and 3.5 inches wide when finished.
That's what's nice about LEGO sets; there are so many different variations on the same movie or character that you can get something in for every budget.
