Retinol diminishes wrinkles, clears skin, and evens out both texture and discoloration. Vitamin C is another popular superstar ingredient that protects your skin from elements that cause signs of aging, improves hyperpigmentation, and encourages more supple, firm skin. Linoleic acid is anti-inflammatory, moisturizing, moisture-retaining, and has soothing properties. It’s a nice counterbalance to Multivitamin Power Recovery Mask’s more intense active ingredients.

The titular ingredient is a rare sensitive-skin-safe acid that is an exfoliant and a humectant. While it sloughs away dead skin cells, clears skin, and reduces age spots, it also helps your skin retain moisture. A shopper in their 40s called Dermalogica’s cleanser “a game changer” and said they “saw a difference with [their] first wash.” It made their skin “clean, smooth, and bright.”
