Despite being a beauty editor, I didn’t know that popular French brand Avène made body products until last month. It’s bananas because not only is knowing this stuff sort of my job (sorry!), but the discovery also solved a lot of my personal problems. The main one? Figuring out how to keep my sensitive, keratosis pilaris-riddled skin soft and moisturized whilst exposed to the driest air of the year.
After spending a heck of a lot of time deep diving into the ingredients and shopper reviews of Avène’s body care products, the one I’m excited to try the most is the Moisturizing Melt-In Balm. With a texture somewhere in between a balm and a thick cream, this is an ideal body care product for winter. Lastly, camelina oil is an anti-inflammatory plant-derived ingredient that replenishes fatty acids that are vital to keeping skin soft, supple, and hydrated.
