Shoppers Say Costco's Newest Freezer Find Tastes Just Like a Fast-Food Favorite

Costco

At the risk of sounding cliche, yours truly is no spring chicken when it comes to taste-testing chicken nuggets. From the acclaimed dinosaur-shaped ones to meatless options, this writer has tried them all. While my list includes a few tried and true go-to’s, there’s always room for a new and improved version of a classic.

Warehouse giant Costco is no stranger to making headlines for its seemingly endless supply of new and exciting products. When the retailer isn’t delighting us by bringing back items like its massive tiramisu bar cake or the fan-favorite cookie monster ice-cream bar, the bulk grocer is busy stocking their freezer section with exclusive offerings you won’t find anywhere else.

The latest addition to Costco’s staggering lineup of frozen goods is one kids and adults alike are going wild for. Lightly Breaded Chicken Breast Chunks, released under Costco’s private-label Kirkland Signature brand, recently found their way to stores and fans are comparing them to that of the chicken-based restaurant chain Chick-Fil-A.

For those of you just tuning in, the Atlanta-based eatery has been hailed as the home of the Original Chicken Sandwich since 1964, and their chicken nuggets are *chefs kiss*. That being said, we don’t take the comparison lightly.

A Reel of the tender freezer find was posted by @costcohotfinds on Instagram and the comments came rolling in. “Plus they taste like Chick-fil-A nuggets,” said one user while another compared them to the Just Bare brand writing, “we just tried them and they’re pretty much identical to the just bare ones. They are white meat breast pieces. They seemed to be a perfect dupe."

While some fans have been able to get their hands on the in-demand chicken chunks, a recent Reddit post proved some stores haven’t stocked up just yet. “What locations (State) are you guys finding the Kirkland Chunks?” inquired the OP. “Not Colorado,” responded one person and another chimed in with, “Not Bay Area, Ca.”

If you do happen to find these at your neighborhood Costco, a 4-pound bag of the tender chicken morsels will set you back just $13.99. A light spend for something that will bring you a massive amount of joy.
