Shoppers in Their 70s Say This Now-$12 Under-Eye Cream “Keeps Wrinkles Away”

People can keep repeating the story that more sleep and water will eliminate fine lines and dark circles, but that doesn’t make it true—at least not for most of us. Wrinkles, puffiness, and discoloration aren’t solely caused by dehydration and bad nights of sleep, which is where, fortunately, eye creams come in to tackle our skin concerns.
For years I was skeptical of under-eye treatments, not convinced they were anything more than just overpriced moisturizer, but after testing a number of different creams that made me look like I got 12 hours of sleep even after restless nights, I’m officially all in. And there’s one in particular I’ve been wanting to try that’s now on sale for just $12 at Amazon.

L'Oréal Paris’s Dermo Expertise Eye Defense treatment is packed with ingredients under-eyes love, including hyaluronic acid and glycerin—both hydration-boosting—as well as caffeine, which is known to reduce puffiness. The formula is a non-greasy gel cream that one user said is lightweight and “absorbs quickly,” which could be one reason why the treatment has amassed more than 12,000 perfect ratings at Amazon.
According to fans of the cream, it soaks into skin within minutes, leaving behind dewy, well-moisturized under-eyes with less noticeable dark circles. “It’s remarkable,” said one person. Another customer deemed it a “holy grail product.” The Eye Defense cream made their discoloration “much less dramatic,” they reported, adding that it also “plumped up” the area which helped with the hollowed-out look they were experiencing. But those shoppers aren’t alone in seeing a change in the lines around their eyes.
