A lot of the time, TikTok hype is just that… hype. But there are (rare) instances where the internet hordes are actually onto something. Rosemary hair products have been a hot topic on the platform thanks to their hair growth-promoting results — and as it turns out, rosemary is in fact a scientifically proven (and dermatologist-approved) super ingredient for hair health and growth. It’s an easy, natural route to long and strong hair and there are dozens — maybe even hundreds — of options on Amazon alone, but my pick is Weleda’s Rosemary Condition and Shine Hair Oil.

Weleda is a fail-safe brand, in my opinion. Famous for its nourishing Skin Food cream, it doesn’t really matter what you pick from its lineup — your skin will be supple, your body will be moisturized, and in this case, your hair will be luscious and silky. Weleda’s claims for the Rosemary Condition and Shine Hair Oil are modest; nourishment, silkiness, hydration, and luster from the scalp through the entire length of the strands down to the ends. But after sifting through dozens, maybe even hundreds, of five-star reviews it seems that it has some pretty drastic hair growth benefits, too.

The crux of this is obviously rosemary oil. It’s antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, rejuvenating, and reparative. The first two traits mean that it helps with dandruff, acne, itchiness, and other irritations. But what you’re really here for is the hair growth and strengthening aspect, so let’s get to that. One study found rosemary oil to be as effective at promoting hair growth as minoxidil (aka rogaine). The ingredient also potentially stimulates blood circulation in the scalp, which can help with hair growth. Finally, rosemary oil heals hair, thereby preventing shedding and breakage, in turn creating stronger strands and more room for growth.

Hair oils in particular are great because they can be used in many different ways; you can apply a few drops to wet or dry strands, directly on the scalp, more generously coat strands for a pre-shampoo mask, and so on and so forth.

Don’t just take it from me, though — shoppers stand by the oil’s claims. One shopper said their hair grew from six to eight inches after using Weleda’s Rosemary Condition and Shine Hair Oil. Another shopper said this “totally transformed” their hair. “My hair has gone from feeling coarse and straw-like to soft and silky,” they said. Plus, a person with “super thin alopecia hair” said the oil “definitely helped to decrease hair loss.”

Head to Amazon to shop Weleda’s Rosemary Condition and Shine Hair Oil. Though it’s not part of Amazon’s Big Spring Sale, at just, $18 it doesn’t really need to be. Shop more rosemary hair products, below.
