Nowadays, it’s rare to find someone who’s never heard of Dixie and Charli D’Amelio. The East Coast sisters are two of the world’s most popular social media creators thanks to their massive breakthroughs on TikTok during the pandemic. Today, the two have more than 200 million TikTok followers combined.
Charli, 18, is competing on the current season of Dancing with the Stars. Dixie, 21, has a burgeoning music career. They and their parents also have their own Hulu show, The D’Amelio Show. It’s safe to say that the two sisters have successfully joined mainstream media while keeping family at the center of their lives, so it only makes sense to have the duo star on this month’s family-focused In The Know digital cover.
David Urbanke shot the pair in Hollywood, California. Mimi Cutrell styled Dixie, assisted by Maddy Calvo. Jill Jacobs styled Charli, assisted by Chelsea Bone. Laura Polko handled hair styling while Olivia Madorma did the girls’ gorgeous makeup.
The sisters sat down with In The Know’s Gibson Johns to talk about everything from their popular Hulu show and past brand collaborations to connecting with fans and the impact they hope to have on people.
