You don’t have to wait until Black Friday to start scoring big deals this fall.
Amazon announced its first ever Prime Big Deal Days sale, which will take place on October 10 and 11—and there are already thousands of early deals in every department leading up to the sale. To avoid the rush on those dates, I’m starting my shopping now and getting these fashion, beauty, and home deals before they sell out.

As Real Simple’s resident shopping expert, I know that Amazon is one of the few retailers where you can get seasonal items on sale at the start of the season as opposed to the end, giving you plenty of time to use or wear the item. Case in point: Nutse’s button down knit cardigan jacket, which is marked down to $32. The elegant find is the perfect knit to throw on over a dress, T-shirt, or blouse, especially if you’re prone to feeling cold like me.

I recently found a similar piece at a pricier store where it was going for well over $100, so I was delighted to find this nearly identical cardigan. The polished piece will keep me warm at the office and beyond for months to come.

I always use Amazon’s big sales as an opportunity to stock up on everyday items, like my go-to L'Oréal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise mascara and my favorite extra fine gel ink pens from Shuttle Art. I’m also going to grab a few more of Sengled’s smart light bulbs, which I already have set up around my house, and a bottle of Timeless Skin Care’s vitamin C + E serum.

The new-to-me skincare find caught my attention thanks to its affordable price point, the impressive amount of vitamin C that’s included in its formula, and the 4,700 five-star ratings it has racked up. I always wear some vitamin C serum under my SPF to ward off damage from pollution and brighten my complexion. Owners call this one “fantastic,” saying that it led to a clearer, glowier look and the “biggest improvement” to their skin “ever,” so I’m excited to see what all of the hype is about.
I’m also using these early deals as a chance to snag a few gifts for less, including Kitchellence’s knife sharpener set, Cuisinart’s Color Pro knife block set, and KitchenAid’s ribbed silicone oven mitts. I own all three kitchen items, and I’ve been so impressed by them that I’m gifting them to my brother.

With just a few swipes, my knives were able to cut through thick slabs of meat and dense vegetables with ease again. And the included protective glove, which is a level five cut-resistant glove, made me less intimidated to test the sharpener. I know that my brother, who’s an excellent home cook, will put this straight to use.
