Shoes for Our Homeless shoe drive collecting lightly used shoes for The Open Door Network

(KGET) — Guarantee Shoe Center is once again collecting shoes for men, women and children at The Open Door Network.

It’s the 32nd year for the Shoes For Our Homeless Shoe Drive. Each year the shop hosts a drive to collect lightly used shoes for people who need it. In all those years, the drive has collected over 105,000 pairs of shoes.

There are four places to donate:

  • Guarantee Shoe Center at the corner of 21st Street and Chester Avenue in downtown Bakersfield.

  • Capital Dental Group at 8701 Camino Media

  • Nona Darling at REMAX Golden Empire at 3955 Coffee Road

  • KGET studios at 2120 L St. in downtown Bakersfield
